About Us

As an oldest student-run IEEE conference, PECI provides an unique opportunity for students to publish, network & learn early in their academic careers. Our theme for this iteration of PECI is "Power the World, Connect the Planet!", emphasizing the high level of international collaboration in the power engineering field.

All aspects of power and energy systems are welcome to be presented at PECI - from power electronics on a chip to energy markets. Major topics include, but are not limited to:

Announcements

NSF scholarship application deadline has been extended till March 7th. Apply here .

Student scholarships are available for first-time and underrepresented students attending PECI 2024. If awarded, this scholarship will cover all conference expenses including meals, travel to and from the conference, hotels, and registration.

Professor recommendation is highly encouraged but not required. Please have your professor email peci-treasurer@illinois.edu with the letter as soon as possible.

Scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis and applications are due no later than Thursday @ 11:59pm CST, March 7th. This deadline also applies to letters of recommendation.

PECI 2024 will occur on April 19, 2024 from 7:30am-6:30pm
